Rapid Testing

Drilling Pharmacy provides strep throat, influenza, and COVID-19 testing to eligible patients at their request. This convenient service provides test results in 15 minutes or less. Upon a positive test for strep throat or influenza, the pharmacist can prescribe the antibiotics and/or antivirals needed to treat the infection. 

Point of Care Testing

We offer a number of tests to the public to provide both the patient and their provider quick results.

  • Blood glucose (*no cost to the patient)
  • A1c ($30; this can be covered with a HSA/FSA card)
  • Lipid panel ($30; this can also be covered with a HSA/FSA card)

Flu and strep testing

The Iowa Governor signed into law a bill that will allow pharmacist to test patients for flu, strep, and COVID-19 and provide immediate treatment if the test is positive.

Drilling Pharmacy provides strep throat, influenza, and COVID-19 testing to eligible patients at their request. This convenient service provides test results in 15 minutes or less. Upon a positive test for strep throat or influenza, the pharmacist can prescribe the antibiotics and/or antivirals needed to treat the infection.

Common symptoms that would warrant testing include cough, sore throat, fever, headache, fatigue, and muscle aches. The cost for testing is $30 for a COVID-19 test, $60 for a combination Influenza A/Influenza B/Covid-19 test, or $50 for a Group A Strep test.
